After having been held at Chinese customs for a few days, my painting “Refugee” has arrived safe and sound at the Ming Gallery of Art for the 3rd China (Suzhou) Biennial International Pastel Exhibition! I would like to thank judges Li Siaolin, Du Guohao and Shi Tao for accepting my work!! Congratulations to all accepted artists! I feel honored being one of 33 international artists accepted to join 67 Chinese artists for this long exhibition that opens on October 1st and will run through November 5th. From there, it will continue at various galleries in China until October 1st, 2019!! My thanks to the organizers of the exhibition for making this sharing around the world possible and to Ming Gallery of Art for focusing on introducing pastels to Chinese art collectors.

So thrilled and honored to have my three paintings selected for the 2018 Pastel Society of the West Coast member’s show! Thank you to juror Diana De Santis and the PSWC. With over 500 entries it was such a difficult task for her to end up with 160 works. I am so happy for participating in 3rd Pastel d’Opale with four of my paintings.The event takes place in the "Forum des Loisirs" of Saint-léonard, near Boulogne-sur-Mer in France, from March 3rd to 18th 2018. I am so happy to learn that my paintings, "Shipwreck II" and "Who Lost His Marbles" have been accepted in Richeson75 Small Works 2018 exhibition. These two pieces will be flying off to the Richeson School of Art & Gallery in Kimberly, WI shortly. The show hangs from February 22 to April 7. An online show and beautiful hardcover exhibit book are part of this event. My painting "Sweet Colors of Summer" will be included in the exhibit book as Meritorious Entry.Congratulations to all wonderful artists that their artwork has been accepted to the exhibition.

I am feeling overwhelmed and blessed beyond words!! "American Art Awards" has informed me that "Innocent Smile" won 3rd place in category 34 – Realism/Humans and “Still Life with Boots” won the 5th place-tie in category 37 – Realism/Still Life!! Artists in 56 countries were selected by America's 25 Best Galleries & Museums! I thank them sincerely! Congratulations to all the awardees!
